It was early March and we had just gotten the surprise that Nacho and Chyno Miranda were back together as Chino & Nacho — after four years of pursuing their solo careers — with the release of their new song and music video, "Raro." Days later, we were all required to practice social distancing and stay home to flatten the curve and get through the global coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

"We had waited so long to make this reunion happen," Chyno Miranda told POPSUGAR. "Maybe this is a good thing because people at home will watch the video more, or listen to the song a few more times." He added that the song has been received positively, because there was a need for this style of tropical urban music with romantic lyrics that you can dedicate to a loved one.

Thankfully, inspired by the success of "Raro" and aided by today's technology, the Venezuelan singers have kept working — each from his own home — and have blessed us yet again with their talents, this time in acoustic form. Chino & Nacho teamed up with their band of incredible musicians and put together "Raro (Live at Home)."

"It was so much fun to do this live, organic version," Chyno said. "To really have been able to connect with everybody, each one of us at home, but trying to imagine we were next to each other to feel the energy and magic that flows when we're together." He continued by saying that he's eager for everyone to enjoy this version of the song, because everyone — including the musicians they've known and worked with for years — put so much love into this. "This is the first of many that will be released little by little."

This was a hint at the upcoming album that they worked on before social distancing norms were enforced and have been able to continue polishing remotely. "Right now, we're focused on being able to generate new music and get people excited with Chino & Nacho's new songs," Nacho said. "We want them to experience our essence, to understand how we've evolved as musicians, and how our sound has evolved."

While "Raro (Live at Home)" might have been a one-time treat, we're in for a whole dessert course once Chino & Nacho's new album is released. As Nacho put it, what keeps them motivated is "knowing people need to dance and get distracted at home, listening to things that motivate them to overcome this global crisis."
