5 Breast Cancer Survivors and Previvors Sport Lingerie For an Empowering Campaign

Strong women are so beautiful. AnaOno, a lingerie and loungewear line for breast cancer survivors, just released its "I AM" campaign. The photo series showcases five courageous women in different stages of breast cancer survival. From previvors (women with a predisposition to breast cancer who choose to undergo preventive or prophylactic mastectomies) to survivors (women who have survived their breast cancer diagnosis), all of these women are so brave and gorgeous. The pretty AnaOno lingerie they're wearing is designed by Dana Donofree, a survivor herself.

I Am a Mother

Melanie, 43, was diagnosed with stage IIIB invasive lobular carcinoma when she was 39 years old. As a busy wife and mother, Melanie enjoys gardening, taking her kids to the zoo, or spending a little time pampering herself. She just became an assistant principal, one of her big goals in life.

I Am a Nurse

Sharon elected to undergo a prophylactic mastectomy due to a BRCA+ (breast cancer susceptibility gene) diagnosis. The nurse is based in New Jersey.

I Am a Previvor

Leah, 31, underwent a one-step prophylactic bilateral mastectomy in 2014 after being categorized high risk due to findings of atypical ductal hyperplasia (ADH) and a family history from her biological mother in South Korea. She is a student in Philadelphia pursuing a master's degree in occupational therapy so she can work with lymphedema care and home health.

I Am an Advocate

Jeannine, 35, was diagnosed with stage IIIB inflammatory breast cancer at just 26 years old. She recently moved to Chicago to work for her former doctor at Robert H. Lurie Cancer Center at Northwestern University as the OncoSET program coordinator.

I Am an Artist

Alison, 37, was diagnosed with stage 1 ER+ PR+ breast cancer at 34 years old. She had a bilateral mastectomy on her 35th birthday. The loving wife and mother is a freelance graphic designer who helps startups build products and brands.
