Nina and Sebastian's Kenyan Wedding Will Take Your Breath Away

You can always tell when a couple has truly poured their shared heart and soul into their wedding — Nina and Sebastian are one such pair who knew exactly the dream they had in mind for their big day and are able to wholeheartedly state that their wedding was the best day of their lives.

Nina, a wildlife photographer, has spent a great deal of time in the national reserve of Maasai Mara in Kenya, following and photographing a pride of lions and growing extremely close to the Maasai people of the region. Because the land and the people of Maasai Mara are so special to the bride and groom, it was important for them to incorporate some of the Maasai wedding traditions into their own nuptials. One of Nina's friends gifted her with bracelets and an enkarewa, a beautiful necklace worn by Maasai Mara women on their own wedding days. The Maasai community also gifted Sebastian with a stick, which he carried during their ceremony.

Here's what the bride had to say:

"Mother Nature was with us every moment of the wedding . . . the ceremony was nothing but amazing — nature and love united in something completely breathtaking and almost surreal that is impossible to put in words . . . In the end our two cultures and nature merged in the perfect moment and the best day of our lives."

The images of their wedding celebration are truly powerful — the love between Nina and Sebastian, their child, family, and friends from all over the world is nearly palpable . . . and the landscape only enhances this tenfold. See for yourself!
