A Guy's Guide to Your Baby's Size
It takes two people to make a baby, so it should come as no surprise that we want our partners to be involved in every step of the pregnancy. We want them to read every book, attend every birthing class, and stay up-to-date on the size of the growing baby. And while men know how big oranges and eggplants are, we thought we'd step outside of the produce aisle to give them a lesson on baby development. Check out our week-by-week growth guide using items that men will love and, more importantly, know!
Week Four
The seed has been planted, and it's starting to grow! Right now, your baby is about the size of your man's sexy stubble.
Week Five
How sweet! Your little one has grown to the size of a chocolate chip.
Week Six
And the candy trend continues. Your baby is now the size of an M&M.
Week Seven
Tell your man to look down at his thumb — that's the size of his future child.
Week Eight
Hey, Jelly Belly! Your child has grown to the size of a jelly bean.
Week Nine
Right now, your baby is comparable to a gum ball. If only she came out as easily!
Week 10
Cheers! Your little one is the size of a beer bottle cap.
Week 11
If your man spends his weekends putting around, then this will be an easy comparison. Your baby is now the size of a golf ball.
Week 12
Time to take out the tools! Your little guy or girl is roughly the size of a measuring tape holder
Week 13
Write this one down for your partner. Your baby has grown to the size of a Post-it note.
Week 14
Right now, your child is the size of a gas cap. But don't worry. The only fuel he needs is food!
Week 15
Play ball! Your baby is slowly growing and is now the size of a baseball.
Week 16
Your child is the length of the iPhone but hopefully not addicted to one yet!
Week 17
Right now, your baby is the same size as a hamburger patty — not the supersized version!
Week 18
He may not know how to refill a roll of toilet paper, but hopefully dad-to-be knows how big one is, because that's the size of your baby.
Week 19
Hot dog! Your little one is the same length as this summertime fare.
Week 20
Read all about it. Your tot is now similar in size to an ereader.
Week 21 to 24
Touchdown! Your baby is comparable in size to a football.
Week 25 to 28
Keep the sports theme going: your child has grown to the size of the hitting surface of a tennis racket.
Week 29 to 32
No need to Google this fact. Your baby is now the size of a MacBook Pro, the 17-inch version.
Week 33 to 36
At this point, all you want to do is sit on the couch and watch movies, so it's really easy to compare the baby's length to a DVD player.
Week 37 to Due Date
There's a reason why it may look like you're hiding a beach ball under your shirt. Your future daughter or son is now the size of the Summer must have.
