Looking at the size of some of those list of 'chores' - I would be rather worried that the poor child would be overwhelmed and never have time for anything else. Helping mum is one thing, helping clear the table, lay it, maybe do dishes as they get older - but not every day and not the amount of chores shown here. Children should have time to play at home, to enjoy the time with their siblings and family - not taking every waking moment either at school or studying at home or doing chores. My mother did that with me - and I NEVER had a moment to breathe ... I am 58 and am still resentful of all the laying of tables, clearing up, washing up, drying up, dusting, vacuuming she made me do. I was a helpful child, but this was too much !
