If You Noticed 17 Minutes of Quiet in Your Living Room, It's Because Nickelodeon Did This

If you noticed that it got all of a sudden very quiet in your living room while your kid was watching the latest episode of Paw Patrol, don't adjust your TV set. Nickelodeon put a pause on its regularly scheduled programming for 17 minutes to honor the 17 students and faculty members killed in the February school shooting in Parkland, FL.

From 10 a.m. until 10:17 a.m., the channel broadcast a simple message: "In support of kids leading the way today, Nickelodeon will be off the air until 17 minutes past the hour."

So, as if parents needed another reason to be ever appreciative for the kids' network, this is just one more.
