Photo of Toddler Breastfeeding Sibling

Why People Are Infuriated by This Photo of a Toddler Pretending to Breastfeed

Your kid might be breastfed when...

Whether or not you're a nursing mom, everyone seems to have an opinion about this photo of a little boy pretending to breastfeed his baby sibling.

Since the image was first posted on the Breastfeeding Mama Talk Facebook page with the caption, "Don't worry mom, I got you covered," it has been shared more than 15,000 times.

However, many of the almost 2,000 commenters are less than pleased with the photo and view it as an outrageous pornographic act with a child. "This is disgusting to say the least," Juliet Nicole posted. "If it were the mother, that's different. I see no problem. But to allow a sibling, that is just sick. I see no humour in this at all."

Yet some people are more outraged that people are associating a sexual act with a child than with the actual image itself. Others feel this image is the perfect example of why women should not breastfeed in public. There are also commenters who are just concerned with the safety of the infant. "Your baby could be suffocated. Then you've hurt two children. I guess common sense isn't common," Michele Wright wrote.

Margaret Ellen Bradford sees nothing wrong with the photo and even appreciates the little guy's form. "He even got the breast pinch to get your nipple in the right position down!!" she wrote. Many moms can relate to toddlers imitating their acts and have even started posting photos of their own little ones attempting to breastfeed dolls and newborn siblings.

No matter what your opinion is, most can agree that this picture is going to get some embarrassed groans when the little ones grow up!
