Once a mysterious procedure that only took place behind closed doors, C-sections are not only more common now, but more photographed than ever before. "Cesarean births are incredible, beautiful experiences to witness and capture," birth photographer Monet Nicole told us. "As more providers are working towards making these births more family-centered, I've been allowed to come back and capture these moments."
The result is not only beautiful photos families can enjoy for years to come, but a so-called peek behind the curtain to better lift the veil of secrecy and better prepare future moms-to-be for the procedure.
