People Are Seething About Why This Pregnant Woman Got Kicked Off a Bus

An expecting mother from New Jersey took to Twitter to criticize the state's transit system when she was kicked off a bus because its MyTix app was broken. The woman, who goes by Maria on Twitter, tweeted her frustration during rush hour on July 20. "I am 7 months pregnant and the bus driver took me off the bus bc the app didn't work and I only had $3 on me instead of the 4.50."

NJ Transit officials were aware that the ticket app was down for about two hours starting around 7:30 a.m. that day and apologized to the soon-to-be mama in an interview with NJ.com. And while officials at NJ Transit were definitely in the know when it came to the malfunction, the same can't be said for the bus driver. "Our customer's experience was unacceptable," said NJ Transit spokeswoman Nancy Snyder. "The bus operator is being re-trained."
