This Photo of a Soldier Watching His Kid Being Born Via FaceTime Proves How Much Our Military Sacrifices

While waiting to board a flight at the airport, Tracy Dover happened across a heartbreaking scene she just couldn't get out of her head: a soldier watching his daughter being born on his cell phone. After snapping a photo and posting it to Facebook, it quickly went viral when Frank Somerville, a news anchor at KTVU, shared the post.

"This army soldier was on my delayed flight home yesterday to Mississippi," wrote Tracy. "He had to watch the birth of his daughter on FaceTime. He was crying and our hearts were breaking. We all gave him space. When we heard the baby cry, we all rejoiced for him. I wanted to share this because I never want us to forget about our soldiers who serve us every day and the sacrifices they make."

And thankfully, according to the comments section, the anonymous soldier was able to reunite with his wife and meet his brand new baby, whom they named Millie Fritz Anne Lindsey. Congrats to the happy family!
