The Reason a Stranger Handed a Toddler $20 in Target Will Make You Shed a Tear

After Alyssa Hacker's toddler son, Owen, grabbed three dinosaur stuffed animals off a shelf in Target recently, it wasn't the young boy left crying over having to pick just one of the toys before checkout, but his mom. As the pair were looking over the dinosaurs, trying to pick which one to take home, Owen yelled "Hi!" at a passing stranger. In a touching post to Facebook, Alyssa shared Owen's encounter with the kind man, who restored her faith in humanity.

After Owen screamed his hello to the stranger, the man turned around and greeted the toddler with a "Hey, sweet boy" and began playing dinosaurs with him. "With this crazy world we live in I was a little hesitant as too how close he was with Owen," Alyssa admitted in her post. However, her attitude quickly went from cautious to emotional after the stranger pulled out his wallet.

"The man got his wallet out and pulled a $20 [bill] out, he put it in Owen's pocket on his shirt, and said: 'I just lost my 2-year-old grandson last week. You take this money and buy this boy all three dinosaurs.' [He] rubbed Owen's back, wiped his tears, and walked off. . . . There are still some good in this world."
