A video from the UK's National Autistic Society is shedding light on what it's like to have autism. More than that, the enlightening video is from the perspective of a young girl who has autism and offers its viewers a firsthand account of what day-to-day interactions often feel like.

Titled "Make It Stop," the PSA shows the girl's morning routine and ride to school. As she boards the school bus, the driver asks her a question and when she doesn't answer right away, he asks her if she's feeling alright. This brief exchange continues to stick with her, as other dialogues and interactions just pile up and ultimately overwhelm her.

At the end of the video, the girl explains, "I'm autistic and sometimes I get too much information." Text then appears that states, "Take a minute and give an autistic person more time to process information."

The National Autistic Society previously released a similar video for World Autism Awareness Day in 2016. Though it was very different, the poignant video was shot from the perspective of a boy with autism. Click here to watch that video in its entirety.
