Your Fizzy, Alcoholic Dreams Have Come True — Boozy "Bath Bombs" For Cocktails Exist

Forget the "pop, fizz, clink" of champagne — we're all about the "plop, fizz, clink" of the newest beverage trend, cocktail fizzers. Think bath bombs, but for your glass. In celebration of International Margarita Day, Cody Goldstein of Muddling Memories created the margarita-flavored fizzers at NYC club Norwood, and we wouldn't be surprised if the trend quickly takes over the culinary scene!

Just like a bath bomb, the cocktail fizzers bubble and disintegrate when dropped in liquid — but instead of soap and essential oils meant for bathtime relaxation, they're made with edible ingredients (like citrus fruit) and are intended to be dropped into a mixture of Patrón Silver tequila, simple syrup, and club soda. Each fizzer "miraculously turns from a ball into a cocktail right in your glass," and they come in a variety of droolworthy flavors inspired by Patrón's Margarita of the Year Competition:

  • Passion Fruit + Jalapeño
  • Lychee + Chia Seeds
  • Tomato + Thyme
  • Celery + Elderflower
  • Pickled Plum + Kelp Tea
  • Orange Marmalade + Sherry

Currently, the creative cocktail fizzers are only available for a limited time at Norwood; but considering how ingenious the idea is, we wouldn't be surprised if cocktail fizzers make their way to bars near you sometime soon! In the meantime, check out these stunning photos of the boozy bombs in action.
