Everyone's Making Fun of How Trump Is Live Tweeting During the VP Debate

Prior to the vice presidential debate in Farmville, VA, Donald Trump announced he would be live tweeting the debate in support of his running mate, Mike Pence. During the debate, however, many Twitter users were intrigued by Trump's method of retweeting other tweets, prompting them to question his grasp of the social media network despite his fervent usage.

While a retweet typically involves just hitting the retweet button on Twitter, Trump has been manually quoting tweets by copying and pasting the tweet and then surrounding it with quotation marks. It's worth noting that the latter takes much more time.

Politico's Alex Weprin was one of the people on Twitter to note that Trump's tweets appear to be coming from both an iPhone and an Android. While this could mean that Trump's account is currently being used by two different users, this wouldn't explain the case of the strange retweets.

Look ahead for examples of the unconventional retweets, as well as some choice reactions.

Trump threw people off when his tweets started looking like this . . .

For a moment, it seemed like he got the hang of it when he properly retweeted this.

Then he went back to his previous method.

Naturally, Twitter was amused.
