Liberals Gave Trump's MAGA Hats Their Own Spin, and They're Pretty Damn Epic
Donald Trump's infamous Make America Great Again red hats are getting a liberal makeover. On Feb. 6, a Twitter user spotted blue versions of Trump's hat with slogans like Make Racism Wrong Again, Make Sexism Wrong Again, and Make Hatred Wrong Again to advocate for racial and gender equality. "Yeah hi I'll take 20," she captioned the screenshot, which has 14K retweets and 30K "likes" at press time.
Turns out the "liberal" blue hats are from OurLiberalPride, a website that aims to "promote a reset of the values that TRULY Make America Great!" A description from the website reads:
"By wearing this Baseball Cap, and standing among thousands of like-minded people at demonstrations or by just proudly proclaiming your belief in the reasons that America was and continues to be 'Great' because of our diversity and respect for the civil rights of others, we can amass a SEA OF BLUE across these UNITED STATES!"
The USA-made clothing line also includes blue t-shirts with slogans of equality. If that weren't enough to convince you to buy them, 50 percent of all proceeds are donated to important causes of your choice, including Planned Parenthood, the ACLU, the NAACP, and the Human Rights Campaign, among others.
