The Dallas Police Chief Honored His Fallen Officers in the Most Simple but Beautiful Way

A memorial service was held today for the five officers killed last week during a sniper attack at a Black Lives Matter protest in Dallas.

President Obama, Vice President Biden, and former President Bush all attended the service. In one of the more poignant moments, Dallas Police Chief David Brown spoke and gave a simple tribute: reciting the lyrics of Stevie Wonder's songs.

"There's no greater love than this, that these five men gave their lives for all of us," he said after quoting lyrics like, "Until the rainbow burns the stars out of the sky, I will be loving you" from the song "As." Watch his speech here.

It was a deeply touching moment that caught the attention of many people on Twitter.

Impossible to hold back tears. #Dallas Police Chief Brown's speech, beautiful recitation of Stevie Wonder's "As" was just too much for me.
