On Feb. 14, GLAAD launched an exciting new content series that spotlights the voices of today's LGBTQ+ youth, and it started off on quite the lovely note. The launch was timed for Valentine's Day and GLAAD has appropriately tied a sweet new video to the occasion called "My First LGBTQ Kiss." A first LGBTQ+ kiss marks a truly special moment in a person's life; it often coincides with a personal and powerful epiphany about identity.

The video is part of a new content series by GLAAD. Called Amp, it will include op-eds, creative writing, photography, art, videos, and more from an inspiring group of young creators, including GLAAD campus ambassadors, staff, and interns, as well as advocates, activists, and artists. In addition to its first video, Amp has also published new articles about managing a long-distance relationship and focusing on self-care.

As part of the press release, President and CEO of GLAAD Sarah Kate Ellis made a powerful statement about why this new series is so powerful and necessary in 2018. "As the current White House continues its attack on the LGBTQ community, it's vital that young LGBTQ people have a platform to be visible and see themselves reflected in media," she said. "Amp shares stories to inspire and remind LGBTQ youth that they can shape the next generation and move our culture to a more accepting and equal place."
