All feline parents can relate to one thing: the special bond they have with their furry friends. Cats aren't just pets, they're members of the family. These POPSUGAR staffers have kitties at home and treat them to the best of the best — and they're proud of it. Ahead, we find out how they make their cats feel like royalty.

Sky and Gianna

Sky and Gianna

"Every Christmas, my family hangs up a stocking for our cat and she receives tons of gifts. One year, she got more gifts than I did! New toys, a new collar, you name it, my cat has probably gotten it for Christmas." — Gianna Capovilla, native operations coordinator

Sir Rigby and Maggie

"Rigby is the first pet my fiancé and I have ever owned as adults, and he has quickly become a major part of our family. We got him at the SF SPCA last year, and since then, we've tried every toy in the book. We've gotten him fluffy things, shiny things, noisy things, but his favorite things are the tasty ones. He'll follow us from room to room for a snack, which might account for his, ahem, extra weight." — Maggie Pehanick, editor, Entertainment

Luna and Hilary

"I treat Luna by crawling out of bed at five o'clock in the morning to top off her food bowl and scratch her ears because she's wide awake and wants me to be, too. She gets to sleep in the bed and snuggle when she's on her best behavior. Her favorite activity is snuggling with me and play time with her favorite toy, which happens to be a string from a pair of my yoga pants that she discovered and claimed as her own." — Hilary White, editor, Smart Living

Shasta and Sarah

Shasta and Sarah

"Shasta is a big couch or bed lounger during the day and night. I like to leave little treats on all her favorite hangouts around the house, which gets her up and moving around especially now that she's on the older side of her cat life. Every place we've lived with Shasta, and there have been many, I always set up a special spot for her cat food. I got this black-and-white postcard of a cat looking out a window that's always been next to her bowl. It's probably silly, but I like to think she's enjoying the artwork while having her meal." — Sarah Lipoff, native editor
