Up Your Holiday Party Decor With These Festive Balloon DIYs

Holiday party decor doesn't have to be traditional. If you want to give your guests an unexpected twist on the season with bright colors and a splash of metallic, these festive balloon DIYs are just the detail you need.

DIY Present Balloons

DIY Present Balloons

Turn cube balloons into perfect presents with a few supplies from the party store!

Supplies:

Balloon Time Helium Tank
Mylar Cube Balloons
Mylar Streamers or Holographic Bird Tape
Glue Dots
Scissors
Ribbon
Pre-Made Holiday Bows (The bows should be no larger than 3 1/2"!)

To Make:

1. Inflate the cube balloons with helium and tie with ribbon. Mylar balloons will float for up to four days, so you can even do this the day or two before your party!
2. Use a glue dot to adhere the end of your Mylar streamer to the bottom of one side of the balloon, right next to the tail. Pull that streamer all the way around the balloon, over the top, and to the other side. Trim to the correct length and use another glue dot to adhere to the bottom of the balloon again.

3. Repeat these steps on the other sides of the balloon so there is a ribbon running down all four sides.
4. Finally, remove the protective backing on the adhesive on your bow and stick it right on top of the balloon. It is important, as stated in the supply list, that the bows be no larger than about 3 1/2 inches for the balloon to float properly. This is the size of a standard holiday bow!

DIY Peppermint Candy Balloons

DIY Peppermint Candy Balloons

Turn a classic peppermint swirled balloon into a wrapped peppermint candy in under 15 minutes and impress all your guests!

Supplies:

Balloon Time Helium Tank
Peppermint Swirl Balloons
Cellophane
Shipping Tape
Ribbon
Scissors

To make:

1. Inflate the peppermint balloons and tie with ribbon.
2. Cut two small pieces of cellophane for each balloon, about ten inches by four inches each.

3. Scrunch up the bottom (short) side of the cellophane to make it look like the end of a candy wrapper. While holding it scrunched, tape it to the side of the peppermint balloon with a small piece of clear shipping tape. Repeat with the other side.
4. Fluff the cellophane as needed and they're ready to go!
