Every Disneyland-obsessed fan knows that when you leave the park to head over to California Adventure, you get a little "invisible" stamp on your hand that allows for reentry. If you're an annual pass holder, you've been able to opt of getting the stamp since your photo is already on file. The resort also requires holders of multiday tickets to have a photo on file as well, and now the practice is rolling out to those with one-day tickets.

Since park-goers of multiday, one-day, and annual passes will all be required to have photo on file, as of July 9, the stamp that was visible only under ultraviolet light will no longer be used at the park in order to gain reentry.

While we'll miss the nostalgic thrill of getting stamp, the more tech-savvy photo process makes total sense for expediency. Now, park-goers will just need their admission tickets to reenter the parks; the pass will be scanned, your photo will pop up, and voila, you're on your way back into the magic. "If it is a newly purchased ticket," says the Orange County Register, "cast members (Disney employees) at the entrance gate will take a photo of the visitor before granting them admission into Disneyland or Disney California Adventure."

Walt Disney World already uses thumbprint scan technology, so it's no surprise that Disneyland is following suit with a quicker, easier way to keep track of park-goers entering and leaving.
