Béis wants to help accessorize and support you through virtually every area of your life — and the brand's newest commuter collection is full proof of it. Shay Mitchell's beloved lifestyle label has been on quite the ascension over the last few years. When it first launched in 2018, fans and travel gurus alike quickly embraced the brand's mission of creating timeless, durable (and affordable!) travel accessories that were made to grow and move with you — even as your jet setting adventures led you halfway across the world.

Fast forward to today, and the brand's ethos are still the same — it's a company that's rooted in catering to the avid traveler on a budget, someone with a penchant for exploration and style who knows the power that a good bag (and more specifically, a good travel bag) can have on the quality of a trip. Even in a market as saturated as luggage and lifestyle accessories, Béis has managed to stand out among its competitors and expand on its already impressive collection of offerings, in the process.

The label's latest looks more closely at the travel that dominates our day-to-day — taking the subway home from work, driving to the office, hopping on a flight for a quick weekend getaway. Through the Béis Commuter Collection, shoppers can get a taste of what makes the brand so special, but through more functional accessories that they can use any day of the week, rather than just when they embark on a big vacation — think everyday tote bags, hardside luggage, personal item carry-ons, and more.

Our editors were lucky enough to test out a few select pieces from the Béis Commuter Collection, including a sleek duffel, front-pocket carry-on, and a commuter tote. Keep reading for our honest reviews and be sure to stock up on the limited-edition line before it inevitably sells out.

"I was honestly shocked by the amount of stuff I was able to cram into Béis's new Front Pocket Carry-On Suitcase without it feeling like an unorganized mess. I packed everything my son needed for a week-long vacation, including electronics, airport snacks, books, markers, and a blanket for the airplane.

The front pocket section is intended for a laptop, but it was large enough to hold his tablet and Nintendo Switch. The inside has two side-by-side zippered compartments that make it easy to grab things he'll use everyday, like his swimsuits, googles, and sandals. One even has an easy-to-clean clear, plastic zippered pocket for shoes or anything else that might be a little messy, like a wet bathing suit. The roomy mesh compartment is super convenient for keeping things like snacks, extra masks, and sunglasses visible and accessible.

"I am a carry-on girlie through and through, but ever since I started taking more weekend trips with my girlfriends and indulging in a slew of overnight stays (all in the same of self-care, of course), I quickly realized that my carry-on suitcase had proven to be more of a nuisance rather than a practical investment — at least for those super-short trips when I only require an outfit or two. My colleagues have long raved about Béis's weekender bags, and after the brand debuted its newest Commuter Collection earlier this fall, I knew it was high time I gave the brand a try — and with its sleek Commuter Duffel, no less.

Despite it being a 'weekender bag,' the product boasts ample interior space that's incredibly deep and functional — so much so that I'm genuinely convinced it might have more packing space than some of my hardside carry-on bags. The bag also goes far beyond your typical duffel as it's fitted with functional exterior pockets, interior organizers (including a pocket that's perfect for storing your laptop), adjustable leather straps, and five metal feet on the bottom which help to keep the accessory clean — even when it's sitting on the ground.

I love how sleek the bag looks and the fact that its incredibly lightweight. I took it as my plus-one on a recent trip to Sedona and managed to fit everything and more into the accessory — including seven outfits, two pairs of shoes, my toiletry bag, portable steamer, and more. Beyond making it my new go-to bag for weekend trips, I have a hunch I'll also be using it as my personal carry-on bag moving forward, too." - Kyley Warren, assistant editor, Commerce

Béis 'The Commuter Tote' ($118)

"Several years back, I bought myself the Beis Work Tote because it's versatile and equally suitable for the office, travel, and happy hour. Needless to say, I got a ton of mileage out of it. Even when my work situation shifted to full-time remote, it still remained my preferred travel companion. However, recently, I realized it was time for an upgrade, and that's when the Beis Commuter Tote from the brand's new Commuter Collection caught my attention.

Now that I've had the chance to use it, I can confidently say that it's a worthy investment. Unlike my previous bag, this one is tailor-made for travel enthusiasts. It boasts several features that I absolutely adore, such as the metal feet on the bottom, ensuring it stands upright, a cleverly designed key leash, and a zippered trolley pass-through that conveniently doubles as a pocket when not attached to your luggage. It effortlessly accommodates all my essentials and keeps me well-organized with its array of compartments. What's more, I'm still discovering new features, like the nifty water bottle holder that prevents unwanted spills.

This tote is made of sleek nylon and faux leather, and it features both top-handle straps and a removable crossbody (which is personally my go-to while racing around the airport). If you're a frequent traveler searching for a minimalist yet highly practical, durable, and easy-to-clean bag, take my word for it — you won't regret adding this Beis Commuter Tote to your collection." - Marisa Petrarca, contributing editor, Commerce

Béis 'The Front Pocket Carry-On'

Béis 'The Front Pocket Carry-On' ($248)

"The Front Pocket Carry On from the commuter collection is everything I could ask for and more. The best part of this carry on are the little details you never knew you needed. For starters, the pull handle is padded on the bottom so my hand doesn't feel sore or when I'm lugging it throughout the airport. Carrying more than one bag? At the top of this carry-on is a retractable clip that lets you attached the commuter bag to a bigger check in bag.

To top it all off, the exterior has a spacious fully padded laptop sleeve that comes in so handy when removing electronics in TSA, and also makes it super easy to access my laptop or chargers when I want to work on the flight. The interior looks like it isn't as spacious but it is! I was shocked at how much you can fit, however because of the laptop sleeve you do lose some depth on one side. I was able to fit outfits for about four days, plus all my makeup, toiletries, flat iron, flat steamer iron, and a few slides or flats. The carry on comes with a detachable compression board so you can really squeeze everything in there.

Plus, the zipper size has two internal pockets so you can separate and organize your bag the way you like it. Beis also provides you with a shoe bag and a dirty laundry bag and let me tell you this is a lifesaver to keep things sanitary. Not only is this bag super practical and functional but it's also so stylish. What more could I ask for?!" - Anvita Reddy, assistant editor, Commerce
