Employees of Walt Disney World Resorts have been donating blood to victims of the tragic Orlando, FL, mass shooting, but the most recent tribute involved thousands of the park's attendees. Just before midnight, the masses gathered in front of Cinderella Castle with glow sticks and LED candles to honor the victims. Everyone was waiting for Magic Kingdom's "Kiss Goodnight" song to indicate the park's closing, which became a beautiful vigil.

Instead of closing down immediately after the song, however, Disney World's Main Street USA was completely silent for 49 seconds — a moment for every loss of life in the tragedy. Moments of silence have taken place at Magic Kingdom before, but never without any music even playing in the distance. Disney did not plan the event but has been showing their support by displaying rainbow colors around the park. The changing colors were projected onto the castle that evening. Cast members were allowed to participate in the honor, and guests also received rainbow Mickey Mouse pins while exiting the park.
