These DIY Place Cards Will Give Your Thanksgiving Guests Something to Be Thankful For
This year, add a fun, festive, and crafty element to your Thanksgiving table with DIY gratitude fortune cookie place cards. They take just minutes to make and are a fun way to share what you're grateful for before you enjoy your feast.
You can complete this project in one of two ways. 1. Ask each person what they are grateful for and then make the place cards before your guests arrive or 2. Have each person write their gratitude statements when they arrive and quickly hot glue the fortune cookies as the turkey roasts in the oven.
What you'll need:
- White cardstock
- Black marker
- Hot glue gun and extra glue sticks
Trace a 6-inch bowl with a pencil onto a piece of cardstock.
Cut out the circle and use it as your stencil.
Tape the paper circle onto a piece of felt and cut out the felt circle.
Cut several 7-inch-by-1-inch strips of paper.
Write the name of your guest and what they are thankful for on the piece of paper.
Place the paper strip in the center of the felt circle with your guest name coming out of the felt. Fold the felt in half and add a dot of hot glue inside the circle's fold.
Fold the felt semicircle in half and hot glue the corner together to create the fortune cookie shape.
