3 Easy Halloween DIYs You Can Make With Fake Spiders
Who knew plastic spiders could be so stylish? If you're looking for a last-minute Halloween look that requires little to no effort — and you don't want to spend a lot of cash — here are three simple DIYs you can whip up that fit the bill. You only need a handful of supplies and less than an hour to create a spider-adorned choker, headband, and crown for adding a creepy-crawly edge to your October style.
What you'll need:
- Black ribbon
- Plastic spiders
- Black craft wire
- Hot glue gun
Line up the spiders on the headband to make sure they are arranged correctly and that you know how many will fit. Then use the hot glue gun to start gluing them one by one on the headband, pressing and holding until cool before moving on to the next one.
Wrap the craft wire around your head to get the size right, then use wire cutters to trim the wire, leaving a couple inches extra. Wrap the excess wire around the other end of the wire to create a circle. Line up the spiders to make sure they will fit evenly around the crown, then start hot gluing them one by one, letting the glue cool and harden before moving on to the next spider.
Cut the ribbon in the desired length, hot glue a spider on the middle, and that's it!
