These Breathtaking Shots Will Make You Appreciate the Night Sky Like Never Before

Russian landscape photographer Daniel Kordan travels around the world and captures the most breathtaking shots of the planet's natural wonders. You might also recognize his work in Apple products, like the background photo in OS X Yosemite.

Our favorites by far, however, are his awe-inducing photos of the night sky. His Instagram account, with more than 300,000 followers, highlights the incredible heavens from areas in Chile, Bolivia, Argentina, Russia, and Norway that have been untouched by light pollution. The entire sky is flooded with stars and galaxies, and Daniel is able to translate it all into the most beautiful snapshots you've ever seen.
