Why This Superhero Birthday Party Will Bring You to Tears

Thanks to the help of his community and parents, one little boy with terminal cancer celebrated his favorite holiday three months early.

The little boy, Billy Lee, is a 5-year-old with a brain cancer called medulloblastoma that is no longer treatable in his case. Since doctors gave him just a month left to live, his parents are doing everything they can to grant him any wish, including an early Halloween party where he dressed up as Iron Man while being surrounded by others dressed as characters from The Avengers.

According to ABC News, the parents have decided against more treatment because it would mean spending more time in the hospital. Instead, they want to cross items off Billy's bucket list, like the party. "We could continue the chemotherapy for an extra two months, but what is the meaning? You get an extra two months in life if you need to stay in the hospital for thirty days?" said his mother, Kelen Lee, to KTRK, an ABC affiliate.

Staying true to their word, the family just recently raised over $26,000 on GoFundMe to visit Walt Disney World, Legoland, and Universal Studios in Orlando, so that Billy could meet all his favorite characters. You'll definitely want to watch the video to see just how happy this little boy is at his special party.
