Fans of VSCO Cam — or anyone who wants to up their visual game, really — will be glad to hear that the popular photo app just launched a GIF-making app.
Available only on iOS for now, DSCO is free and lets you create fun moving images. You can then add on any of the beautiful VSCO filters that the company has become known for. (You can also choose from a set of filters exclusive to DSCO.) After creating the GIF, upload it to your VSCO profile or to Tumblr, Twitter, Facebook, or Instagram.
DSCO enters the GIF-making app game at a time when other popular platforms like Instagram and Giphy have launched similar apps. Giphy Cam lets you create GIFs and add 40 effects, whereas Instagram's Boomerang plays on a looping-video concept. Snapchat has also created a similar idea with the release of its new video filters, which let you create short snippets that look and act like GIFs.
