How the Internet Helped Rescue Leo the Dog Will Melt Your Heart

This is the incredible story of how Leo the dog was rescued from a beach in Thailand. It if weren't for a very nice Canadian lady named Meagan Penman who saw Leo during her trip, his life would look very different today.

When Meagan first saw Leo on that Thai beach, he was dragging himself with his front legs.

He was malnourished, suffered from a bladder infection, and had wounds on his thighs and legs.

Meagan took him to a vet in Thailand, where they tried to get rid of all the ticks on his body.

Doctors said his back was broken and that he was paralyzed in his back two legs, meaning he could never walk again.

Meagan wanted to keep him but couldn't afford the high cost of his special needs and couldn't find any rescue group in Thailand that would keep him. So she turned to the Internet and started a Go Fund Me page to at least get him to Canada.

She raised almost $8,000 to transport little Leo from Thailand.

A nice lady named Jamie heard about Leo and agreed to care for him in Ontario, Canada.

Look how much healthier he is!

Leo got his paws on a doggie wheelchair and proved the doctors wrong by walking again!

If you're interested in donating, there is a new funding page to help Jamie cover the rest of Leo's costs.
