See the Empire State Building's Touching Tribute to Endangered Animals

If you spotted photos of the Empire State Building looking a little different on Saturday night, there's a good reason. Across social media, users posted images of endangered animals that were projected on the south side of the iconic skyscraper. Animals from snow leopards to even Cecil the lion and his hunter were shown on the building, creating a mixture of awe and sadness.

The photos were part of a one-day show, Projecting Change, which promoted the upcoming animal documentary Racing Extinction. With the help of 40 stacked projectors, the images could be seen from a 20-block radius. If you missed out on the event, don't worry — you can see what was captured on camera right here.
