J.K. Rowling's Latest Message About Hogwarts Will Reduce You to Tears

If your 11th birthday came and went without any sign of an owl, you might have cried yourself to sleep that night — and you're not the only one, because that's what millions of other Harry Potter fans did. The distress that comes with not receiving a Hogwarts acceptance letter is something that every series devotee feels in one form or another, and plenty of Potterheads have taken to lamenting about it on Twitter. When author J.K. Rowling caught wind of this mass depression, though, she didn't simply tell Harry Potter readers to suck it up; she gave them an incredible gift.

"All these people saying they never got their Hogwarts letter: you got the letter," she assured her Twitter followers. "You went to Hogwarts. We were all there together." The tweet was along the lines of her final Harry Potter movie premiere speech, in which she declared, "Whether you come back by page or by the big screen, Hogwarts will always be there to welcome you home."

Now everybody can rest easy, knowing that we weren't rejected from our dream school . . . in fact, fans can attend Hogwarts any time they'd like, simply by flipping through the pages of a Harry Potter book.

I'm not crying. You're crying. (It's OK — we all have a lot of feelings about this!)
