Comet-Landing Scientist Slammed Over Sexist Shirt

Last week should have been all about the space probe that landed on a comet for the first time ever, but, instead, the focus shifted to a scientist's shirt. You see, one of the main people on the project, Matt Taylor, gave a TV interview about the amazing feat, but it was his shirt more than his words that stood out.

No no women are toooootally welcome in our community, just ask the dude in this shirt. https://t.co/r88QRzsqAm pic.twitter.com/XmhHKrNaq5

In case you can't tell, that's a bowling-esque shirt covered in images of half-naked women posing seductively. Atlantic journalist Rose Eveleth was one of the first to call out the attire on Twitter, implying that it was especially upsetting considering the underrepresentation of women in the sciences.

Others attacked Eveleth in the pathetic manner we've sadly seen before (last time, it was a similar shirt controversy.)

@roseveleth Why is it ugly women gripe about this stuff? No one would look at you any ways. STFU!

Just a few days ago, Taylor apologized for wearing the awful shirt. All we can ask now is, "What the heck was he thinking?!"
