Why Sheep View Was the Best Part of Google's Latest Announcement

During Google's live announcement in San Francisco on Oct. 4 , the company debuted a sleek virtual reality headset, referred to as Daydream View. The $79 device works with Google Play Movies, YouTube, The New York Times, and more to deliver content that looks like it's happening right before your very eyes. Daydream's most important feature, however, is a little something called Sheep View.

See, earlier this Summer, Google had sheep wear the cameras typically used for Google Maps' Street view in an effort to photograph the Faroe Islands, a region not yet captured in the mapping system. Now, with Daydream, all of that riveting and adorable footage can be viewed.

Within moments of it being mentioned during Google's presentation, the internet freaked out. While many wondered if such technology was really necessary, other people were already wondering how they can pick up a Daydream for this very purpose.

Look ahead for some of the funniest Twitter reactions.
