A Woman Is Using Crochet to Surprise Pokémon Go Trainers and It's the Best Thing Ever

As a self-described "crafty geek," Nichole is a pretty remarkable knitter who's using her skills to cheer up Pokémon Go players who are over seeing Zubat everywhere. She is knitting real-life re-creations of Pokémon characters and stashing them in various cities just outside of Dallas, TX.

So far, Nichole — or KnottyNichole on Instagram — has hidden several favorites, from Snorlax to Jigglypuff to the Pokéball! Based on her Instagram captions, it looks like she typically divulges the characters' locations soon after hiding them, either on the photo app or Facebook. That might change, though, considering her Facebook page has more than 26,000 followers and her Instagram has 820 followers — accounts that are bound to continue increasing in popularity. She also shares the patterns she uses to make the characters on Ravelry, so Pokémon enthusiasts who don't live in Texas can hop on the trend too.
