Brad Pitt was still looking shaggy this afternoon when he met up with President Clinton at the Clinton Global Initiative in NYC. Brad was there to give a progress report on his work in New Orleans with Make It Right, and to accept a honor from the US Green Building Council for constructing the largest community of green homes in the world. Brad's environmentally friendly design work in Louisiana is earning praise from more than just former presidents — he's also been named as a fellow by the prestigious Design Futures Council.

While I am supportive of his work with Make it right I can't get past the fact that he doesn't really practice what he preaches in his personal life. He says we should try to live a green lifestyle yet he owns several homes that are huge, and several gas guzzling cars that are anything but environmentally friendly.

Regardless, this is bs. Green people who genuinely practice what they preach should be offended and speak out but they won't. This makes the whole green movement look like garbage - and not post consumer waste recycled garbage. Ugh!!!!!!!

7Some of you are complaining.. he has never said he is perfect. And he has used many of those techniques in his homes. How do you thing the people there got to NYC. Plane. he uses a private plane when he travels with the entire kids. so whatever. When we are able to use a time machine to travel to one designation then I will piss and moan. Most people who have certain jobs travel by plane on a daily basis. Again he is at least trying. and how childish to discuss how he looks.. that has nothing to do with the price of a plane ticket.
Get over it. Brad is who he is. The people there respect him for what he has tried to do. If you don't like it stop stalking his every move. go find another celeb who will live up to your high expectations. I don't think Brad was applying for the position..
8matt damon was at this very same conference just a couple of days ago and no one criticized him. he is rich, travels by private plane, has more than one home etc. so do ALL rich people, that does not mean they are hypocrites. look at bill gates, one of the richest men in the world, he gives to causes such as this but bet your boots he is not living like a miser.

The people that lost their homes there were old, poor and
certainly aren't going to be able to buy. What is the delay,
they have money for 95 houses, is it for more publicity,
more planning or what? Many stars and people went in the
first six months, rebuilt or built houses, let the people
move in and moved on. How many more years is it going to
be a publicity machine for Pitt?
