Coke Brings Back "It's Beautiful" Super Bowl Ad Because It's Painfully Relevant

Coca-Cola debuted its "It's Beautiful" campaign during the 2014 Super Bowl, and the company decided to bring it back again on Sunday during 2017's big game. Instead of making a new ad, the recycled one seems more relevant than ever and features young women singing "America the Beautiful" in seven different languages: English, Spanish, Keres, Tagalog, Hindi, Senegalese French, and Hebrew. Of course, when it originally aired, not everyone found the soda ad refreshing. It sparked a cultural controversy on social media and got the hashtag #SpeakAmerican to go viral. Coke stood by its inclusive message then, and it seems to be reinforcing it now in the wake of President Donald Trump's controversial immigration ban. Since it reinforces the ideas that diversity is patriotic and Coke is for everyone, some people might want to take note.
