If you love Tom Hanks and have six minutes to spare, then, boy, do I have good news for you! The official trailer for Cloud Atlas has arrived, and it's packed with the actor in various eras. The movie is based on the best-selling novel by David Mitchell, and it has the characters meeting over and over again in different realities, different eras, as different people. They cross and recross each others' lives "like figure skaters," as one of Jim Broadbent's characters explains. The film also features a long list of talent, including Halle Berry, Susan Sarandon, Hugh Grant, and Jim Sturgess.

With a sweeping soundtrack and dramatic visuals, the trailer is gorgeous, but I don't think my brain has been so befuddled since I watched Inception. The film is produced and codirected by Andy and Lana Wachowski, and I can't think of anyone better to take on such a conceptually complex story than the team behind the Matrix series. Matthew McConaughey took a break from playing in China's Mission Hills Star Trophy tournament this evening to attend a red carpet event with Camila Alves. He's spent the last few days golfing with Hugh Grant, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Christian Slater, and Michael Phelps as part of the event, designed to bring celebrities and sports stars together. Matthew's overseas after logging time last weekend with his family in Austin, where his j.k.livin foundation continued to support a group of kids participating in a half marathon. Matthew may be able to share a few running tips with Michael Phelps, who's apparently been getting Subway's Jared Fogle into shape for the upcoming New York City Marathon.

Matthew McConaughey and Hugh Grant traveled to China in order to participate in a tournament at Haikou's Blackstone Course. Catherine Zeta-Jones joined in on the fun as well and let off some steam in the midst of her husband Michael Douglas's battle against cancer. The trio hit the links yesterday before a special dinner last night, and they were out again today ahead of a press conference. Matthew's abroad with his fellow stars after a stay in Austin, where he soaked up the sun with kids Levi and Vida. Hugh, meanwhile, was happy to make some new foreign friends, especially women. He said, "I am very happy to contemplate a Chinese girlfriend. I must say I'm very charmed by Chinese women so far. I've only been here 24 hours, but I've fallen in love four times." The Brit has been taking a break from work, though it seems like he's regretting the decision to turn down one role. Hugh was apparently offered the part in The King's Speech that ultimately went to his Bridget Jones nemesis Colin Firth, who's now getting Oscar buzz for his work in the movie.

It's probably predictable of me to tell you that romantic comedy/mild thriller Did You Hear About the Morgans? is itself predictable. Like a lot of lazy rom-coms, it's also rife with cliches and suffering from an ultimately lame plot: a married couple on the outs (Hugh Grant and Sarah Jessica Parker) view a murder and is shipped off to Wyoming as part of the witness protection program.

As flimsy as that sounds in print, it plays out even sillier on screen: the victim Paul and Meryl Morgan see is a man with a knife sticking out of his back, like Clue. Plus, it's a limp contrivance to push the troubled married couple back together, which you know is going to happen by the end of the movie.

Sarah Jessica Parker and her Did You Hear About the Morgans? costar Hugh Grant were together at the Apple Store in NYC's SoHo yesterday for a chat about their film. The duo has been in NYC since a premiere with her SATC costars earlier in the week, and their press duties are continuing before the movie hits screens on Friday. Sarah Jessica left Hugh behind on her way to an interview on The Late Show, where conversation was more about her growing family than her latest big screen project. After apologizing for her "unthinkable body odor," SJP shared a new photo of her girls and discussed how James Wilkie is taking to being a big brother — check out the video below!

Sarah Jessica Parker stepped out in black for the NYC premiere of Did You Hear About The Morgans? last night. SJP looked gorgeous in bright pink with costar Hugh Grant at the London screening last week, and this time she had some girls to pose with too. Fellow members of the Sex and the City fab foursome Kim Cattrall and Cynthia Nixon joined in the fun. On the red carpet, SJP had nothing but kind things to say about Miley Cyrus who she joked is surprisingly tall "like a Viking" and is making a cameo in the anticipated sequel. Most of you weren't loving the first SATC2 tease poster, but it's still a thrill to see the ladies together on the red carpet. Sarah has this movie to support before it's out on Friday, and a few more months until SATC2 mania sets in leading up to the May release.
