Taylor and Justin Win Big at the American Music Awards

The American Music Awards went down in LA on Sunday night!

The American Music Awards went down in LA on Sunday night! Usher opened a show that went on to feature many performances from some of the biggest stars in the music industry. Gwen Stefani and the guys of No Doubt put on a show, as did Kelly Clarkson and Ke$ha. Taylor Swift performed her soon-to-be-released single "I Knew You Were Trouble." She changed out of the gold Zuhair Murad number she wore on the red carpet and into two elaborate costumes. Justin Bieber hit the stage too for a rendition of his songs "As Long as You Love Me" and "Beauty and a Beat." Pink put on an acrobatic, energetic performance, and Christina Aguilera wore a tiny costume to sing a song of her own.

As for the awards, Taylor and Justin were big winners. After arriving with his mom, Pattie Mallette, as his date, Justin picked up an early honor for best pop or rock male artist. He was also recognized with favorite pop/rock album and, right at the end of the show, artist of the year. Taylor, meanwhile, was crowned favorite female country artist. Further honors went to best new artist Carly Rae Jepsen and favorite country band Lady Antebellum. Carrie Underwood also has a new statue to celebrate with, having won best country album — check out the full list of American Music Awards winners!

Singer Kelly Clarkson continues to wow us with her incredible voice on the show Duets, and she looks good doing it! The 30-year-old smiles on the July cover of Redbook magazine and shares how she achieved her slimmer figure.

She believes that getting in shape is all about finding what works for your body. Kelly says,

"Really, what I try to instill in my fans is to be healthy and happy. I have no desire to be super-skinny."

Even though the very first 2002 American Idol winner admits to hating cardio, she says,

Emily VanCamp, Ginnifer Goodwin, and Robin Thicke Talk Family, Fashion, Vacations at ABC's Bash

ABC hosted a bash for the casts of their TV shows, both old and new, last night at NYC's Dream Downtown Hotel to celebrate the Upfronts.

ABC hosted a bash for the casts of their TV shows, both old and new, last night at NYC's Dream Downtown Hotel to celebrate the Upfronts. Hayden Panettiere and Connie Britton cuddled up after a long day promoting their new series Nashville. Another new program, Duets, had the support of judges Robin Thicke, Kelly Clarkson, and John Legend. Many of ABCs returning hits were represented, too, like Suburgatory and Happy Endings. Revenge couple Emily VanCamp and Josh Bowman were adorable on the red carpet, while Don't Trust the B---- in Apt. 23's Krysten Ritter posed solo. Once Upon a Time's real-life couple Ginnifer Goodwin and Josh Dallas did press with costar Jennifer Morrison.

We caught up with Duets' Robin, who spoke about his wife Paula Patton and their young son Julian. The couple apparently has a performer on their hands. Robin said, "He's got the ABC song down now. I'm hoping he'll learn a different one." Paula won't be able to watch the program, however. Robin added, "I told her I never want her to watch it, because she already loves me and I don't want that to go backwards at all. I don't want to lose any points, so just love me the way I am right now and don't watch any of my stuff."

Summer travel is something many stars said they're looking forward to. Revenge's Emily is dating costar Josh Bowman and he might be lucky enough to accompany her on some excursions. She is taking the next few months off and clued us in on her plans. Emily said, "I'm going to see my family on Thursday and I'm so excited. I get a few days with them, so I just want to have some downtime and hang with them. And then traveling! I've been traveling loads. I was in Sydney. I'm going to go to Europe for a bit. I've been really enjoying traveling . . . I think it's good to have a chance of perspective and leave LA, the bubble that is LA, once in a while." Don't Trust the B's Krysten Ritter has similar plans to let loose during a break. She said she's most looking forward to attending "bikini boot camp in Mexico!"

Kelly Clarkson Motivates With Britney Spears — How Do You Stick With a Workout?

Kelly Clarkson admits it — she hates cardio.

Kelly Clarkson admits it — she hates cardio. In fact, she really hates cardio. After she covered Britney Spears's song "'Till the World Ends" at a recent concert, Kelly told the crowd:

I love that song, [although] I always have a little bit of a bad taste in my mouth when I hear Britney Spears because it's my cardio music and I freaking hate cardio. I freaking hate the gym. The gym can suck it!

But while Kelly may hate her workouts, that doesn't mean she doesn't do them. She's been recently spotted looking sweaty and exhausted leaving the gym, and is a fan of CrossFit ("You feel like you're G.I. Jane!" she says of the intense workouts) — definitely not for the faint of heart.

I love that no matter how vehemently she hates to work out, Kelly still sticks with it by using an upbeat workout playlist to keep herself motivated while doing an exercise she hates. How do you stay motivated?

Surprising Makeup Tips From Three Celebrities

Sometimes it's the student who teaches the teacher, and in the world of beauty analogies — and in this particular case — it's the celebrity client teaching the makeup artist.

Sometimes it's the student who teaches the teacher, and in the world of beauty analogies — and in this particular case — it's the celebrity client teaching the makeup artist. Here, our guest writer, Vanitymark Cosmetics founder, and celebrity makeup artist, Brett Freedman, shares with us his role-reversing experiences.

In my career as a makeup artist I've been turned on to some really great beauty tricks. Some are self-learned from trial and error, some are from other makeup artists, and more than a few have come from the subject themselves. There's a difference between doing makeup on a gal that's not in the entertainment industry (or as I term them, "civilian") and someone who gets made up as part of their job. Civilians are excited to try new colors, textures, and see their faces through the eyes of a pro; whereas actresses, singers, and models have seen their faces made up many different ways, making them hyperkeen on how products feel, wear, and photograph. Who better to give insight into glam than the canvas themselves?

Las Vegas Hearts Jay-Z, Lady Gaga, Usher, Coldplay, and More!

Las Vegas got even crazier this weekend when the biggest names in music descended onto the property of the MGM Grand Hotel and Casino for the two-day iHeartRadio music festival. The good times kicked off on Friday with performances from Jay-Z, Coldplay, Alicia Keys, the Black Eyed Peas, Carrie Underwood, Bruno Mars, Kelly Clarkson, and Jane's Addiction. Saturday night was just as star studded with energetic sets by Lady Gaga, Jennifer Lopez, Steven Tyler, Kenny Chesney, Nikki Minaj, Rascal Flats, Usher, and Sting. Music artists weren't the only big names on hand — American Idol host Ryan Seacrest made the trip to the desert to MC the show and brought along girlfriend, and star of the upcoming dance film Footloose, Julianne Hough. Twilight star Ashley Greene was rolling solo to introduce Rascal Flats while Glee's Cory Monteith welcomed Sublime to the stage.

Friends Alicia and Jay-Z closed down Friday night with a rocking rendition of their hit "Empire State of Mind" as Chris Martin watched on from backstage. There were no signs, though, of mom-to-be Beyoncé or Chris's wife Gwyneth Paltrow. The fans kept up their enthusiasm on Saturday when J Lo rocked out her hits "Papi" and "On the Floor." J Lo looked hot in a sexy red dress! Fresh off her tour with Britney Spears, Nikki Minaj got fans on their feet with her "Super Bass." Lady Gaga wrapped up the second night of festivities with a 50-minute set that included chart topper "The Edge of Glory."
