According to Victoria Beckham, Simple Ponytails Are Superchic

Victoria Beckham's girl is always chic, simple, and sophisticated, and her Fall 2014 show proved just that. Barely there makeup, blush-toned nails, and a breezy ponytail defined her aesthetic. Lead makeup artist Pat McGrath, working with Max Factor, used little to no makeup to achieve fresh-faced beauty. "Victoria wanted the girls to be as they were," McGrath said. That meant just a touch of black mascara at the root of the lashes, concealer where needed, and a dab of lip balm.

Lead hairstylist Guido for Babyliss also looked to achieve simplicity with the hair. He blew dry the top of models' hair with his fingers to smooth but left the ends to dry naturally. A touch of dry shampoo added texture. "The modern idea of rich beauty is that you can't be bothered, and that's what we wanted to achieve here," he sad.

Nails were equally subdued. Vanessa Williams of Nails Inc. created a custom-blended pink that gave the nails a natural flush. For a matte finish, she swept on Westminster Bridge Top Coat ($10). The overall look was easy, sophisticated, and DIY-friendly.
