If I had to pick one thing that I'd want the world to know about my beauty preferences, it'd be the fact that I'm pretty much hooked on body scrubs — and it's an admission you can find proof of all over this website. I've managed to empty a ton of scrub-filled containers over the years, and even as I've added a handful of products to my list of favorites lately, I still felt an instant rush of excitement the moment I found out that Fenty Skin would be releasing its first body scrub ever this summer.

The Fenty Skin Buff Ryder Exfoliating Body Scrub ($32) is one of the brand's newest products, launching in early July. It features sugar, salt, and sand to exfoliate, as well as a cocktail of tropical ingredients inspired by Rihanna's home country of Barbados, like cherry, coconut oil, and pomegranate, papaya, and pineapple enzymes. Even though the fruity combination gives the scrub a delicious-smelling scent that makes you feel like you're on an island, it's not at all overpowering.

The tricky thing about scrubs is that sometimes they can be a bit too harsh and abrasive when the sugar or salt crystals are too large, though after trying this formula, I didn't have that problem. Its texture was extremely soft and nearly perfect, and it felt similar to a body polish in that it softened and conditioned my skin afterward to the point where I almost didn't feel the need to follow it with a body butter (I still did, though).

In short, any skin-care product that has Rihanna's seal of approval (or will give me the impression that I'll ever come close to having skin like hers) is a win in my book, but if you want to be the judge for yourself, the Buff Ryder Exfoliating Body Scrub is now available to purchase at Sephora and on Fenty Beauty's official website.
