Nyx Cosmetics's Avatar-Inspired Makeup Collection Is a One-Way Ticket to Pandora

Nyx Cosmetics partnered with "Avatar: The Way of Water" for a makeup collection ahead of the movie's release on Dec. 16. The Nyx Cosmetics x "Avatar: The Way of Water" collection will include a range of color cosmetics that the brand says will delight both new and existing customers alike.

"We were incredibly inspired by the artistry in the film, the bioluminescence and vivid colors of the world of Pandora, and the strong focus on diversity," Yasmin Dastmalchi, general manager of Nyx Professional Makeup USA, tells POPSUGAR. "The collection is a proud representation of artistry for all, and we can't wait for everyone to get their hands on it."

Products in the line include a 24-pan eyeshadow palette, a six-pan blush and highlighter palette, face and body paint in the official Avatar blue, lipsticks, lip glosses, highlighter sticks, and a setting spray. In addition to the products being vegan and cruelty free, the brand is using the campaign to support The Nature Conservancy, a global environmental nonprofit organization. In a press release, the brand said that from Nov. 30, 2022, to Feb. 28, 2023, for every social media post using #NYXCosmeticsForAvatar, #KeepOurOceansAmazing, and #AvatarTheWayOfWater, Nyx Professional Makeup will donate $1 up to $50,000 to The Nature Conservancy and its efforts to protect 10 of our oceans' amazing animals and their habitats.

"[W]e pride ourselves in offering mindful cruelty-free and vegan formulas as part of our pledge to take responsibility and offer conscientious products," Yann Joffredo, global brand president of Nyx Professional Makeup, said in the release. "We are excited to marry these critical initiatives and support another cause that aligns with our core values."

The Nyx Cosmetics x "Avatar: The Way of Water" collection will officially launch on Dec. 1, and it'll be available in the US at Ulta and Macy's and on the brand's website. Prices range from $9 to $40. Get a sneak peek at all the products in the collection before the launch ahead.
