Angelina Jolie stepped in front of the camera to let the world know she's come down with a case of chicken pox. The actress made the announcement in a video uploaded to YouTube on Friday. "I just wanted to be clear and honest about why I will be missing the Unbroken events in the next few days," she says, explaining why she must bow out of promotional duties for her new movie, which hits theaters on Christmas Day. "I will be at home itching and missing everyone, and I can't believe it because this film means so much to me," she adds before laughing. Angelina's candid remarks are supported by her appearance in the video, which shows rashes on her upper body. The actress echoed the sentiment in a statement Universal Pictures posted on Facebook, saying, "You have to laugh at the timing."

Prior to her diagnosis, Angelina dedicated a lot of time to spreading word about her directorial effort. Most recently, she looked as glamorous as ever at The Hollywood Reporter's Women in Entertainment Power 100 breakfast on Wednesday, where she had an awkward encounter with embattled Sony Pictures Entertainment cochair Amy Pascal.
