Jared Padalecki Shares a Heartfelt Note After Fans Honor His Brave Battle With Depression

Jared Padalecki got silly with his buddy Jensen Ackles at Comic-Con in San Diego on Sunday, but the duo's Supernatural panel also had its emotional moments. The event took a touching turn when fans showed how proud they are of Jared for sharing his inspiring fight against depression. At one point, the lights went down and thousands in the audience held up candles that read "Always Keep Fighting," an ode to Jared's campaign to support people suffering from mental illness, including depression, addiction, and suicidal thoughts. "Always keep fighting!" fans reportedly shouted.

Jared captured the moment in a picture he tweeted, writing, "View from stage. #ComicCon." He later took to Facebook with a deeply personal note about the experience, saying he was "beyond moved" and had no idea it was coming. "I will never forget this day. I will never forget the love that I felt, and still feel. And, to everybody who held a light for me, please know that I hold my light for you," he wrote.

The sweet tribute comes about two months after Jared apologized to fans on Twitter for canceling scheduled appearances in May. Clearly, Jared's fans have his back. Keep reading to see the actor's moving message.
