Chris Hemsworth Calls Elsa Pataky His "Rock" in Birthday Tribute

Chris Hemsworth and Elsa Pataky have been together for over a decade, and the couple still seem very in love.

In celebration of her birthday on July 18, Hemsworth took to Instagram to share a black-and-white photo of himself wearing an apron, seated on Pataky's lap on the set of "Thor: Love and Thunder." "Happy birthday to this gorgeous lady!" he wrote in the caption. "Thanks for always being my rock to sit on but way comfier. Love you @elsapataky ❤️🎉."

While the pair are generally very affectionate towards each other, it seems like they're also honest. In a July 7 interview with USA Today, Hemsworth revealed that his wife wasn't a huge fan of his Thor muscles. "My wife was like, 'Bleh, it's too much,'" he said. "There are a lot of my male friends who are like, 'Yeah!' but a lot of female friends and family are like, 'Yuck.'"

Hemsworth and Pataky have been open about their love affair and the trials and tribulations of raising a family over the years. The pair share three children, all of whom had cameos in "Thor: Love and Thunder." Hemsworth frequently expresses his love for his family, calling his daughter India his "favorite superhero" and often sharing cute moments with his family. Through it all, his love for Pataky has remained constant. "There was no light-bulb moment," he said to Elle in 2015 of his relationship with his wife. "From the first time we met, we just made sense. She's fun. She's outgoing, and she has a sense of humor and a passionate attitude toward life, which is nice to try to keep up with."
