Kristin Cavallari and Stephen Colletti's Recent Night Out May Have Included a Kiss

What happens in Cabo . . . continues over a decade later? Kristin Cavallari and Stephen Colletti's new "Laguna Beach" rewatch podcast, "Back to the Beach," has arrived, and the former on-and-off couple apparently have recently revisited the past in more ways than one.

In "Back to the Beach," Colletti and Cavallari are rewatching every episode of "Laguna Beach," which aired from 2004 to 2006 on MTV and was followed up by spinoff "The Hills." At the time of the reality TV series, Colletti and Cavallari were teenagers in a love triangle with their fellow high school classmate, Lauren Conrad. In fact, Conrad and Cavallari's feud — mostly propelled by both of their links to Colletti — was much of the plot focus during the series.

After reviewing the first episode, Cavallari reflected on the situation with Conrad in the initial podcast installment and separate intro, all while taking "full responsibility for some of the dumb, nasty catty-girl stuff that I said." Said Cavallari, "Watching it now, it's so different when you're in the middle of it and you're very emotional. I will say the fact that Lauren Conrad and I really went after each other is so messed up when — [to Colletti] I love you — but the person we should have been going after is you. . . . But it's like, 'Why are we not blaming the guy?'" Much of the drama, Colletti and Cavallari explained, was orchestrated or pushed by the show's producers.

All these years later, it all seems like water under the bridge for Colletti and Cavallari. "We lost touch a little bit when I was married. I was with my ex for 10 years," Cavallari explained, mentioning former husband Jay Cutler, with whom she shares three children. "So, it had at least been 10 years since we had seen each other."

Cavallari and Cutler, who married in 2013, announced their divorce in April 2020. A few months later, in August 2020, Cavallari and Colletti reunited for a night out, sharing a photo from the occasion on Instagram. During the podcast introductory episode, Cavallari said they "went to dinner" and "had a lot of fun," before asking her cohost, "Do we tell the whole story?"

"We may or may not have kissed," Cavallari teased, to which Colletti responded, "Did we?" Cavallari admitted she couldn't remember but noted that the photo she posted was her "most-liked photo of anything I've ever posted on Instagram. I mean, you'd beat all of my children. You'd beat, like, any milestone in my life. So to me, that's actually very sweet because it shows how invested the audience was of 'Laguna Beach.' And I think it's really sweet."

Still, Cavallari implied that there was a "rest of the story" to tell while Colletti swiftly changed the subject, noting that they knew their photo together would cause a "stir."

Cavallari also, again, addressed why the pair hadn't previously been in touch, noting that she doesn't personally struggle to maintain "friendships with my exes." She elaborated, "I think that's a large reason why, when I got a divorce, you and I were able to reconnect — because I was a free woman."
