Beyoncé Accepts Her Video of the Year Award With a Very Special Dedication

Of all the winners at this year's MTV VMAs, Beyoncé really cleaned up. Not only did Bey snag best female video for her baseball-bat-wielding hit, "Hold Up," but she also took home the video of the year award for her already-iconic "Formation" video. When she took the stage to accept her award, though, the singer also offered a truly empowering message. Not only did she thank her husband Jay Z, her daughter Blue Ivy, and all the people involved in the making of her vision, but she dedicated the award to the people of New Orleans.
