10 Mysterious Things We've Learned About Elliott Rollins on Pretty Little Liars
We've had a lot of creepy characters come in and out of Pretty Little Liars, but Dr. Elliott Rollins might take the cake. After a shocking twist in the season six finale, we learn Rollins was originally in love with Charlotte, before we even met him. Now that she's dead, it looks like he has a motive to hurt our favorite groups of liars. But what do we actually know about him? Keep reading for the mysterious things we've learned so far.
He Was in Love With Charlotte
As it turns out, Charlotte and Elliott Rollins were in love, long before we met the crooked doctor. This is a big deal, since he later romantically links himself with Charlotte's cousin, Alison.
Mary Drake Is His Partner in Crime
We know that Elliott marries Alison so Mary Drake can get her hands on the enigmatic Carissimi Group. We also know he wants revenge for the late Charlotte DiLaurentis. This makes the perfect pairing for Mary Drake and Elliott, but in the end they start to view things a little differently. Mary starts accusing Elliott of going too far with Alison in his plot for revenge.
He Has a Scary Surgical Bag
He might've been a psychiatrist, but it probably doesn't excuse this creepy bag full of saws and surgical equipment. This could be a hint that he'd had a sadistic side.
He Might Have Tortured Hanna With a Cattle Prod
We know Hanna gets kidnapped because she lies about killing Charlotte. During that time, she's tortured in what looks like a barn. Later on, during a visit to the farm that Elliott's family supposedly owns, Hanna sees a cattle prod and realizes this is likely where she was tortured. And if Elliott's been there, the connection is obvious.
He Keeps a Lot of Shifty Evidence in a Locked Trunk
Aria and Ezra first find out about his locked trunk by sneaking into Alison's home. But it's not until Aria returns that we find out what he's keeping. Elliott has a ton of weird, old instruments, ingredients that could make a latex mask, blue contacts — which, by the way, match the late Detective Wilden's eye color — and possibly a drug he has been secretly using on Alison while she's in Welby.
He's British
In case you're not sure where that accent comes from, the psychiatrist is, indeed, British.
He Marries Alison Out of Revenge
Poor Alison! After Charlotte's death, she's very vulnerable, and Elliott preys on that. Alison falls in love with him, and he convinces her to agree to a spur-of-the-moment wedding. The ulterior motive later becomes clear: Mary Drake wants to get her hands on the money that is in the Carissimi Group.
He Disguises Himself as Wilden to Cause Alison's Breakdown
We don't know for sure if Elliott is "A.D.," but we do know that he has a few interesting skills. He makes a latex mask and pretends to be the long-dead Detective Wilden in order to drive Alison crazy.
He's Alison's Primary Doctor While She's in the Sanitarium
Isn't this a bit of a conflict? Either way, Elliott has been treating his wife in Welby, and the hospital seems to be perfectly fine with it. In private, we know he's been secretly drugging her, strapping her down to her bed, and threatening her because he thinks she's Charlotte's killer.
He's Dead
Now we know who Emily, Aria, and Spencer are burying in the premiere's flash forward! In their attempt to follow Elliott to where he was taking Alison, they accidentally strike him with their car. Now they have to get rid of his body!
