Watch the Dreamy Video For Jhené Aiko and August 08's Astrology-Inspired "Water Sign"

Jhené Aiko and August 08 released a new song called "Water Sign" on July 8, complete with a dreamy video that perfectly matches the hypnotic track. "Water Sign" is part of August's six-song EP, "Towards the Moon," which was also released on July 8. The EP is the second half of August's debut album, "Seasick." The first part, "Towards the Sun," was released in May.

Aiko, who looks gorgeous in glittery blue eyeshadow in the video, released her latest LP, "Chilombo," in 2020, mixing R&B with sound healing on the record. She also performed "America the Beautiful" before Super Bowl LVI in February. On July 3, Aiko confirmed that she is expecting a child with longtime boyfriend Big Sean. The baby will join her daughter, Namiko Love, who was born on Nov. 19, 2008.

Aiko also runs the label Allel Sound in collaboration with Def Jam. She announced that she had cosigned August on July 7, telling Variety, "August is an incredible writer, singer and artist whose music speaks to me on so many levels. As a fellow Los Angeles native, I am so proud of him. August's talent, love for songwriting and hands on approach with his art is something I can relate to and have a great amount of respect for. It was a natural evolution of our friendship and musical collaboration to have him become the first artist signed to Allel Sound. I couldn't be more excited to work with August."

"She set the bar as an independent R&B artist from LA who wrote her own rules and made no compromises in following her dreams.
