Rami Malek dropped by The Late Show With Stephen Colbert on Wednesday to discuss his upcoming role in the James Bond movie No Time to Die and revealed an unexpected moment between him and Daniel Craig. Malek is playing the villain in the movie, which will be the 25th film of the franchise. But it seems he's still built quite the rapport with Craig, who's portraying the MI6 spy for what is said to be the last time (though we've heard that one before). After finally making a breakthrough during rehearsals for a particularly tricky scene, the two went in for a hug, and, as Malek explained, "I can't tell who initiated the next moment, if it was him or I, but a kiss transpired between the two of us, and I'm going to say that Daniel initiated it." After Colbert confirmed the kiss was welcomed, Malek laughed and explained his perfect off-the-cuff response: "I took a moment, caught my breath . . . and said, 'so does this make me a Bond girl?'" See him tell the whole story above, then get some insight into what's to come from the final season of Mr. Robot, too.
