The trailer for Martin Scorsese's Silence — a film over two decades in the making — is gorgeous, tense, and already stirring up Oscar buzz. Based on Shusaku Endo's critically acclaimed novel, the film tells the story of two Portuguese Jesuits (Andrew Garfield and Adam Driver) on a mission to rescue their mentor (Liam Neeson) from Japan at a time when the country outlawed Christianity and forbid the presence of missionaries.
