America Is a Damn Mess After the Latest Episode of This Is Us

If you haven't watched this week's episode of This Is Us, turn around! All the rest of you, welcome to the mourning zone. We've been wondering what happens to Jack, and all (sort of) is revealed on Tuesday's episode: he's dead in the present day. Kate watches football with his ashes. Our dear adult children have no father, and it's breaking our hearts. Furthermore, we see Randall in a scene that implies William has died, but we don't know when it takes place. Creator Dan Fogelman called the flash-forward a "hypothetical future," but it's crushing nonetheless.

It's hard not to worry about Jack's fate, even though actor Milo Ventimiglia — who is the real person in this situation — is obviously still alive and spoke with Entertainment Weekly about the reveal, confirming that he'll still be on the show. "I would urge people to not worry too much about how and when, and just accept that Jack has limited time, and know that every moment he has with his kids, with his wife, is going to be the most important thing to him." Don't tell us how to feel, Ventimiglia! Please scroll to see a selection of people who are feeling the same way you are right about now.
